This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Contact the originating agency, court, or corrections department directly.
Who Holds the Record?
Use the office that owns the question. ECSO handles county detention and its Records Division handles incident and arrest reports. Rocky Mount, Tarboro, and Princeville police may hold municipal incident records. The court holds case dates and disposition. NCDAC holds state prison, probation, and parole information. Federal and immigration systems have separate rules.

Where to Look First
Match the task to the correct official source before contacting an office.
- For current county custody or a recent admit, use ECSO Citizen Connect.
- For a booking record or county photo, use the county request form and identify the date and arresting agency.
- For a Rocky Mount police record, use the city’s Police Public Records Request Form. RMPD is at 330 S Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, non-emergency (252) 972-1411, Records (252) 972-1430.
- For Tarboro Police, call the town at 500 N Main Street, PO Box 220, Tarboro, NC 27886, (252) 641-4200 and request routing to Records Management.
- For Princeville Police, use the town contact at 201 South Main Street, PO Box 1527, Princeville, NC 27886, (252) 823-1057, or fax (252) 824-0430. A separate police records line was not verified.
- For a sentenced state prisoner or state supervision record, use NCDAC Criminal Offender Searches.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP locator or USA.gov ICE locator instructions.
Records Request Details
The county policy says a request should describe the record and say whether inspection or copies are wanted. For a booking photo, name the person, date range, booking or arresting agency, booking number if known, and electronic format if desired. Ask for statutory redactions rather than requesting a full investigative file.
- Send the written form to the county address or public-records email.
- Describe the exact booking or arrest record and limit personal details to what is needed.
- Wait for the policy’s acknowledgment and simple-request follow-up windows, each described as seven business days.
- Confirm any estimate, deposit, redaction, or denial reason with the custodian.
The policy lists email attachments or links up to 5 MB at no cost, letter copies at $0.05 single-sided or $0.07 double-sided, a $1 CD, postage at the USPS rate, and extraordinary labor or IT charges after the first ten minutes. A projected charge above $25 may require a 75% deposit. These are county policy figures, not a guarantee that every request will use the same format or cost.
State and Court Contacts
The Edgecombe Judicial Branch page links to eCourts, court calendars, and local information. The NCDAC public-records path is for state correctional records only. NC SAVAN provides covered custody and court-status notifications at 1-877-NC SAVAN or 1-877-627-2826. It is not a booking-photo source.
When an arrest record is absent from the county view, first check whether the person was released, transferred, booked by another county, or moved into state or federal custody. A missing result is not a court disposition. Charges at booking are accusations, and the person is presumed innocent.
